Farris Care Services is currently seeking a Roster Manager / Service Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Moonee Ponds. As a Roster Manager / Service Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the functionality of our support workers, providing guidance and instruction to manage their service delivery and staff support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating, maintaining, and updating staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and service requirements.
  • Assigning staff members to specific shifts, considering their availability, skills, and preferences.
  • Distributing shifts and workload equitably among team members, ensuring fairness and efficiency.
  • Communicating with staff regarding their assigned shifts, confirming availability, and addressing any scheduling conflicts or issues.
  • Facilitating shift changes, arranging replacements for absent or unavailable staff, and ensuring smooth continuity of service.
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and relevant industry standards in rostering and staff management.
  • Tracking staff performance and productivity, providing feedback, and addressing any performance-related concerns.
  • Monitoring staff attendance, managing leave requests, and maintaining accurate records of working hours.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as HR, operations, and support coordinators, to ensure effective communication and coordination of participant and staff schedules.
  • Resolving scheduling conflicts, addressing staffing issues, and finding solutions to maintain an effective and balanced roster.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement in rostering and implementing initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with NDIS participants, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records in accordance with NDIS policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Farris Care Services’ service model.

Qualification and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Sciences, or Humanities.
  • Ability to manage teams and lead by example.
  • Proficient computer skills, including a strong understanding of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to navigate and utilise various software applications and tools efficiently.
